Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
By Bert V. Royal
Directed By Noah Lucé
The LSSU Theatre Department is proud to present Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, a powerful and thought-provoking play that reimagines a certain beloved comic strip and its characters as troubled teenagers grappling with complex issues of identity, friendship, and loss.
Written by Bert V. Royal, Dog Sees God explores themes of acceptance, mental health, and self-discovery. This darkly comedic and deeply emotional production, CB, his friends, and their canine companion, find themselves navigating the challenges of growing up and learning who they truly are in a world that often feels uncertain and unforgiving. This production is made possible by the Issues and Intellect Fund.
Content Disclosure: Dog Sees God contains strong language, references to sex, LGBTQ+ issues, bullying, school shootings, mental health struggles, and suicide. Viewer discretion is advised.
